Memorial Hospital

Boiler Plant Upgrade

Project Overview

Memorial Hospital has served Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts since 1901. Now a member of Care New England, the hospital has further expanded its scope and capacity throughout recent years. To help accommodate the growing patient-base across their 13-acre campus, Arden successfully upgraded the hospital’s aging boiler plant as part of the facility’s ongoing maintenance and sustainability plan.

Value Delivered

As a critical care facility, Memorial Hospital cannot experience any interruptions in service of building systems. Arden was able to successfully complete the boiler plant upgrade with zero negative impact to patient care or comfort by using a provisional boiler system throughout the beginning phases of the project. By temporarily removing a plant wall and extracting the existing boilers with limited demolition, the Arden team was then able to use advanced 3D modeling to coordinate a seamless installation of the upgraded system. These innovative techniques allowed the project to be completed within a strict timeline.
